HOW TO GET THERE?
Khor Al Adaid Beach is in the south-eastern region of the country, approximately 80 km from Doha and is best accessed by a 4x4.
Various types of fish; crustaceans; and turtles are swept in from the sea while birdwatchers note cormorants; terns; gulls; ospreys; flamingos and migratory waterfowl. Oryx and gazelles often wander by.
The beach becomes much more like a resort on the shore of a lake in the morning, as water advances on to the desert to form what is known as the inland sea. The sea recedes in the evening and the beach becomes desolate again, while dunes magically change colour under golden sunsets.
